♥“Trinity” (also “Abraham’s Hospitality”) is an icon of the Holy Trinity painted by Andrei Rublev in the 15th century, the most famous of his works.

♥The icon is a vertical format board. It depicts three angels sitting at a table on which stands a bowl with the head of a calf.

♥The figures of the angels are arranged so that the lines of their figures form a kind of vicious circle. The compositional center of the icon is the bowl. The hands of the middle and left angels bless the cup. There is no active action and movement in the icon – the figures are full of motionless contemplation, and their views are fixed on eternity.
